Celery juice benefits

Cancer

Celery contains a flavonoid called apigenin, which has been shown to kill cancer cells. The polyacetylenes in celery interestingly contain chemo-protective compounds that help to reduce toxicity while boosting immunity and help slow the growth of mutated cells.

Better digestion

Celery juice may help restore hydrochloric acid, which helps us digest things, like protein, faster and more efficiently. Celery juice is believed to replenish depleted levels of gastric mucus that is needed in the stomach lining to heal and prevent ulcers and acid reflux. It’s good for constipation, bloating, puffiness and water retention, acting as a gentle, mild, natural laxative and diuretic.

Ingredients: 1 bunch of celery leaves with stalks.

Preparation:

1. Wash them in clean water to remove any debris.

2. Put the celery through your juicer.

Blackberry protein muffins

Ingredients: 100g almond flour (finely ground), 60g all-purpose flour, 40g vanilla whey protein powder, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon baking soda, 1/2 teaspoon ground cardamom, 125g homemade almond butter, 100g monk fruit sugar, 125ml greek yogurt, 65ml unsweetened almond milk, 3 eggs, 150g fresh blackberries, 150g almonds (sliced).

Preparation: 
1. Mix the almond flour, all-purpose flour, protein powder, baking powder, salt, baking soda and cardamom. 
2. Mix the almond butter, brown sugar, yogurt and almond milk until smooth and well combined.

Balsamic salad dressing

Ingredients: 45ml balsamic vinegar, 15ml Dijon mustard, 1 clove garlic (minced), 120ml olive oil, pinch of salt and pepper. 

Preparation: 
1. Combine the balsamic vinegar with Dijon mustard and minced garlic. 
2. Slowly add the olive oil while continuing to stir the mixture. 
3. Season with a bit of salt and pepper and mix again.

Black beans, avocado and beef tacos

Ingredients: 400g lean beef mince, 1 onion plus pinch of salt, juice of one lime, 1 tbsp sunflower oil, 1 tbsp taco seasoning, 1 tbsp tomato purée, 400g black beans, bell peppers or lettuce, 1 small iceberg lettuce, 2 avocados 2 tomatoes, 100g feta, small bunch of coriander, for the dressing - juice of ½ lime 5 tbsp cottage cheese. 

Preparation: 
1. Clean onion. He says it. Clean bell peppers and cut in half. Wash lettuce and iceberg leaves. Remove the pit from avocados and dice them. Clean tomatoes and cut them into pieces. Mash feta cheese with a fork. 
2. Mix the red onion with half the lime juice and a pinch of salt in a small bowl, then set aside.

Balsamic, sesame and ginger marinade

Marinade for meat, poultry or roasted vegetables. 

Ingredients: 15 ml olive oil, 15 ml sesame oil, 15 ml balsamic vinegar, 15 ml honey, 15 ml rice vinegar, 1 clove garlic (minced), 2 g (1 tsp) fresh ginger (minced). 

Preparation: 
1. Whisk together the olive oil, sesame oil, balsamic vinegar, honey and rice vinegar. 

Keto almond pancakes

Ingredients: 5 eggs, 200ml almond milk, 55ml avocado oil, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract, 250g blanched almond flour, 50g Swerve sweetener, 9g of baking powder, ¼ teaspoon salt, additional avocado oil for the pan. 

Preparation: 
1. In a blender, combine the eggs, almond milk, oil, and vanilla. Blend 30 seconds to combine. 
2. Add the almond flour, sweetener, baking powder, and salt and blend again until smooth.

Carrots, ginger and pineapple juice

Ingredients: 10 carrots, 1 cup pineapple, 1 inch of ginger.

Preparation:

1. Wash, scrub and rinse the carrots well. Trim off the very top 1/2 inch or so. Peel ginger. Cut pineapple into pieces.

2. Juice according to your juicer.
